Affiliate Disclosure

FTC-compliant transparency on how this site earns money.

Last updated: April 2026

TL;DR

Some links on ThePlanetTools.ai are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That commission never changes a score, a ranking, or what we say about a tool. If anything, some of the tools we recommend most loudly pay us zero — we just pay for them ourselves and find them worth it.

FTC disclosure

In accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines on endorsements (16 CFR Part 255), ThePlanetTools.ai — operated by The Planet Deals LLC, a limited liability company registered in Wyoming, United States — discloses the following: some links on this website are affiliate links. At no additional cost to you, we may earn a commission if you click through and make a purchase or sign up for a service.

Why we use affiliate links

Affiliate commissions are the main thing that keeps this site independent. They let us:

  • Keep every article free and ad-free (no popups, no video rolls, no sponsored banners).
  • Pay for the tools we review — many of them on paid plans, out of our own pocket.
  • Refuse paid reviews and pay-to-rank partnerships without worrying about revenue.
  • Ship new reviews, guides, and comparisons every week.

What affiliate links do not change

  • Our 4-dimension score (Features, Ease of Use, Value, Support).
  • The overall ranking of a tool in a listicle, comparison, or collection.
  • Whether a negative review gets published. Negatives do get published.
  • Whether a tool gets featured on the homepage, in the newsletter, or on social.
  • Which tools are called out as our top picks in any category.

Revenue sources, in order

ThePlanetTools.ai earns revenue through the following means, listed from primary to rare:

  • Affiliate commissions — the primary source. Paid when a reader clicks an affiliate link and completes a qualifying action (purchase, subscription, sign-up). The reader's price is unchanged.
  • Sponsored content — rare, and strictly optional. If it ever happens, it is clearly labeled #sponsored in the article header, excluded from the 4-dimension scoring system, and flagged in the listing view. As of this writing, we have not published any sponsored content.
  • Our own products — we also build and ship our own tools (clearly identified with an "Our product" badge). They are reviewed with the same scoring methodology and disclosure rules as third-party tools.

Affiliate programs we participate in

We participate in a mix of direct vendor programs and affiliate networks. Depending on the tool being reviewed, links may go through one of the following:

  • Direct vendor programs — many SaaS and AI vendors run their own partner programs (for example: ElevenLabs, Midjourney, Supabase, Vercel, Cursor, Notion, Linear).
  • Impact — used by several SaaS and consumer-tech vendors.
  • PartnerStack — used by a large chunk of the B2B SaaS ecosystem.
  • AppSumo / AppSumo Plus — for lifetime deals.
  • Rewardful, Tolt, FirstPromoter — creator-focused affiliate infrastructure used by specific vendors.
  • Amazon Associates — for the occasional hardware reference (keyboards, monitors, etc.).

This list evolves as programs are added or discontinued. Not every tool we cover has an affiliate program — many do not, and we cover them anyway.

How affiliate links work

When you click an affiliate link on ThePlanetTools.ai, you are redirected to the tool provider's website. A first-party or third-party cookie is placed in your browser that attributes the click to us. If you make a qualifying purchase within the provider's cookie duration (typically 30 to 90 days, sometimes more), a commission is paid. The price you pay is identical whether you use our link or go straight to the vendor.

How to recognise affiliate links

Affiliate links on ThePlanetTools.ai are typically embedded in call-to-action buttons such as "Try [Tool Name]", "Visit [Tool Name]", or "Get this deal". Pages that contain affiliate links also carry an at-a-glance disclosure near the primary CTA. If a page carries sponsored content, it is labeled at the top of the article. If in doubt, assume CTAs are affiliate-tracked — and trust that the review beside them was written regardless.

Our commitment

This site's reputation is the only thing that matters long-term. If a review ever looks skewed by money rather than merit, tell us and we will investigate. Email contact@theplanettools.ai. For the full editorial methodology, read the Editorial Policy.
